They have worked in private practice and for 2 different hospital systems before deciding to open their own business. They work well together because they both believe in taking the best care possible of all of their patients, including those very young, to those post-menopausal. They both honor and support physiologic birth and follow the tenets of mother/baby friendly intrapartal care. They strongly believe in the provision of VBAC (vaginal birth after cesarean section)services. They also believe that women do have choices and will support such choices whenever possible. At the same time they believe in practicing evidence-based medicine, which, interestingly usually supports non-intervention in pregnancy and childbirth. Over the past few years, Julie and Kara have primary c/s rates below 15%, and successful VBAC rates of over 80%.
